They're BAAACCK: Love and Hip Hop Atlanta

Last night quit by surprise while scrolling through the recordings on my DVR I happened upon the season premiere of my guilty pleasure. After the volcanic eruption that ended last season with Stevie J (Sleazo, so fitting) and his “wife” Joselin Hernandez staging a planned attack on the entire cast. As all others sat in posh evening gowns the rage filled couple came dressed to rumble and rumble they did, continuing the attack even as they were horded back stage by security. This came on the hills of Sleazo’s ex BFF Benzino’s engagement to a women who’s slept with not only Sleazo but Sleazo’s baby mama Mimi’s new man and sex tape co-star Nikko. Take a moment to work that out in your head and let’s continue. Please heed the SPOILER ALERT for what comes below.

  

So the season began with a few revelations. Benzino the failed rapper but successful magazine owner of both The Source and Hip Hop weekly is no longer on the show. Perhaps after his mother’s death and his subsequent shooting at her funeral he’s decided to adopt a more quiet life with his new wife so they can both focus on his successful magazine. Waka Flocka who was revealed to have a low sperm count due to a past shooting and his new bride

whom he married at city hall last season will no longer be on the show. The two appeared to be a smart and rational couple so they likely did not want to begin their new lives together under the prying eyes of the whole world. Smart move in my opinion and again the best of luck.

   Other news in the show is that the illustrious Joselin Hernandez was noticeably missing from the premier and according to her “husband” she was in Puerto Rico clearing her head after the madness of the last reunion. What struck me as odd when Sleazo and his baby mama and porn star Mimi discussed the issue they both seemed be very comfortable placing the blame squarely on Joselin’s shoulders? Of course this is not unexpected from Sleazo since he’s used the same tactic to juggle Mimi and Joselin from the very beginning of the show. What is surprising is that Mimi is still falling for it after the mental breakdown caused by Sleazo marrying the stripper he’d met a few years prior and cheated on Mimi with during their 15 year relationship

   Yes if you hadn’t known regardless of their child and 15 years together Sleazo married the spicy diva and ex-stripper Joselin after just a few years. This might make any warm blooded women insane but Mimi learned the hard way that a revenge sex tape is not the answer and has since broken up with Nikko. It is my sincerest hope that she seeks therapy to work out the abandonment issues of the past due to her mother and the betrayal she suffered with Sleazo.

  Instead she’s deciding to write a book about her life to try and explain her bad decisions. The only issue is that the married man she performed the sex tape with wife will apparently be joining the show. Nikko’s odd looking wife and he apparently had an open relationship during the taping of last season. Regardless of the fact that she was dating another man during their “marriage” she is upset about the sex tape and is planning some ambush of Mimi as if that women has not been through enough. I hope Mimi reads this and wonders why she puts up with all this from men. If you are Mimi know this, you’re valuable but if you do not value yourself no one else will. Your treatment by these men does not define you. If you offer a fool a pot of gold and he refuses that does not make the gold less valuable. It only makes that man a bigger fool. I’m rooting for you girl. Now get it together.
