Pray For Nepal
Bruce Jenner wants to be a woman, there’s riots in Baltimore,
oh and hey there’s the NBA playoffs. That’s pretty much what most people in the
US know what’s going on. Some little clip about the horrific tragedies that
happen around the world are just a blip in the radar of the average Joe. Well
if you aren’t aware around 4 p.m. on April 26, 2015, a 7.8 earthquake rocked
the landlocked country of Nepal. The epicenter of the massive quake was about
50 miles north of Kathmandu. Following the initial quake there were several
aftershocks, one of which hit the Richter scale at 6.7. Currently the death
toll is above 4600, more than 9000 are injured, and the rescue attempts are far
from over. Take a moment for the tragedies of humanity and feel the pain of the
people who are currently going through one of the most catastrophic
disasters in recent history. For perspective, this quake was reported to be 22
times stronger than the infamous quake that rocked Haiti in 2006. Millions of
people have been effected and mourning their losses by something so
unpredictable and heart wrenching. So while we are sitting here enjoying all of
our blessings and getting ready to watch the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight there
are millions of people on the other side of the world who are in dire need of
our help. Feel compassion for our people, all of our HUMAN people, and stop for
a second to feel the pain of our brethren.
