Diva on a Dime(A phrase coined by the orginal Diva Priscilla Martin)

Hey pretty girl,

Ya gotta love being a girl. There are so many wonderful things out there that make a gal feel radiant. While it's true that beauty comes from within there's nothing wrong with taking pride in your appearance. Because when you look good you feel good. The say American culture is designed to make a woman feel bad if she can't live up to some impossible standard of beauty. Of course there's some truth to that but if you allow it to work you are focusing on the negative. Everyone should be free to celebrate their own unique brand of shine. Whether you’re light, dark, tall, short, and large or small you got beauty too.

But with so many sparkling items beckoning to you from, boutique windows, as you walk through the mall, on TV, on the sides of buses, in magazines, floating in the sky, pretty soon like 'Futurama's'
iconic joke about advertisements for things we can't afford will literally be broadcast into our very dreams. It's easy to see how one could feel bad if you can't afford what you think it takes to be pretty, right?
Wrong! You don't have to break the bank to have everything your heart desires. Here's a few tips to doll yourself up on a budget. I'll show you a quick trick for extensions with no need to spend hundreds on hair, and then another few hundred with a beautician. Here's what you'll need. First and foremost... A little go juice and whatever music you like.
A little baby powder to take the shine out of the wig. Synthetic hair has an inhuman shine that will scream WIG!!!! BLOODY WIG! SHE’S WEARING A WIG!!! No one wants that

. Mosy on down to your local Asian beauty supply. This is not your local Sally's. If you don't know where to find one just put type beauty supply into the navigator in your phone. (Warning it not likely in the best neighborhood so go during the day!) If you’re in San Antonio there's King's Beauty Supply on Houston Street. Which is where I got this FreeTress FullCap in the Vanilla girl style for only 19.99
.  A medium sized curling iron which you'll use to style your own hair over the half cap wig. (Warning the wig is synthetic and cannot be curled with iron. I will show you how to curl the wig in my next article

If your hair is as course as mine you’ll have heard of Blue Magic hair grease to oil your scalp after washing your hair. .
The something new I’ve discovered. ORS Curls Unleashed with Shea butter and honey, curl defining crème

Plus a few other Skin treatments to make sure your face looks its best.

Now you’re ready to begin. After washing hair with Motions combo shampoo/conditioner, detangle with large tooth comb, then take a rat tell comb and part hair vertically in about 6 large sections.  Afterwards you’ll dip one finger into the blue magic hair grease and scoop a nickel sized dollop, spread down part upon scalp. Then repeat down each part. Next you’ll pull your hair from your face and take your Buff Puff exfoliating pad and add a drop of whatever brand of facial wash you love and scrub face gently in circular motion.

Then wash with Luke warm water. Afterwards apply a dap of Sea Breeze astringent to a cotton ball and feel that glorious tingle as you spread over your face being careful to avoid your eyes. Once tingling from Sea Breeze stops squirt a generous amount of Noxzema onto your fingers and spread evenly over your face, leave on for at least twenty minutes or overnight. Now you’ve completed your facial! On to your new do. To begin put a dash of baby powder into your palm and spread down wig to remove shine. Then part hair around front crown leaving about an inch and a half out. Here comes the easy part. Attach the wig at the base of your part using convenient combs and draw string, then simply take curling iron to the desired heat for your hair and curl your own hair into loose ringlets.

I also got the cute little earrings and nose ring at Kings Beauty supply, one dollar each. The lip ring was only 5.99.  Now just comb your fingers through to give it that care free look and add a dab of Pro Style brown gel onto your edges and you rets to go.
